I am a big fan of the Netflix show Stranger Things! The show is funny, exciting, and dark, all at the same time. The weekend after the season premiere, I can’t help but clear my schedule to binge-watch it. What makes the show so great is the brilliant cast. Winona Ryder and David Harbour are fantastic but the young actors that play Mike, Dustin, Noah, Caleb, and Eleven are absolutely amazing! In this blog post, I want to focus on Millie Bobby Brown, the actress that plays Eleven, because she just introduced a new skincare line targeting Gen-Z!

This is exciting for so many reasons. First, Millie is only 15 years old. I love that at such a young age, she is already thinking about building her own empire. Second, Gen-Z is starting to come into their own, and I’m fascinated with how this next generation (I’m a millennial) is going to shape the beauty industry. Third, I’m sure this will inspire other Gen-Zers to build brands of their own.

Her skincare line is called Introducing florence , and it’s a collection of clean and affordable beauty essentials for changing skin that’s made with love. On a mission to inspire her generation to define beauty on their own terms, Millie developed florence to create better options and a more inclusive beauty culture.

Of her decision to create florence, Millie said; “I wanted to create something for me and my generation, my friends and peers. A brand that could reflect us and our self-expression and still be good for you, simple to use and suited for changing, transitional skin. Being young in general is so tough, so creating a place to support everyone on their beauty journey was important to me.”

The line includes nine skincare essentials. Some of the products are Zero Chill Face Mist, Swimming Under the Eye gel pads, and cosmetics in a variety of shades including Like a Light Skin Tint and Cheek Me Later Cream Blush. The collection ranges from $10 – $34.

The products in the collection are suitable for all skin types, dermatologist-tested, infused with vitamins and botanicals and free of parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances. The line is also PETA cruelty-free and vegan certified.

Additionally, this line is proud to support the Olivia Hope Foundation and its mission to end childhood cancer. Created to honor and remember Millie’s friend, Olivia Hope LoRusso, who passed away after a 15-month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, the foundation strives to stop the suffering of sick children so they can lead happy, healthy lives and one day make a profound impact on the world.
